Gift mode
A recipient, a message, optional wrap, a gift receipt. Turn any bundle into a giftable one.
Gift mode is in development and lands in the next release. Here is how it will work. See what else is coming, and tell us what you would want from it.
What it is
Gift mode adds a “This is a gift” option to a bundle’s page. When the customer ticks it, they can add a recipient name and a gift message, optionally pay for gift wrap, and request a gift receipt (a receipt without prices for the recipient). The gift details carry through to the order and the warehouse pick list, so your team knows exactly what to do.
It is a Pro feature, set per bundle, and fully opt-in: a bundle with gift mode off behaves exactly as before.
Turn it on
On a bundle, open the Gift tab in the product data panel:
- Tick Gift mode to show the “This is a gift” option on the bundle’s page.
- Set an optional gift wrap fee, a flat charge added when the customer chooses wrapping. Leave it at 0 to offer no wrap at all.
What the customer sees
Under the configurator, a “This is a gift” toggle. Ticking it reveals:
- Recipient name
- Gift message
- Add gift wrap, with the fee shown, if you set one
- Include a gift receipt (no prices for the recipient)
The gift wrap fee is added to the live total as soon as it is ticked, so there is no surprise at the cart.
Where the gift details go
- Cart and checkout: the gift details show under the bundle line.
- Order: the recipient, message, wrap and receipt are saved on the order and appear in admin and in the order emails.
- Pick list: the gift details, including the gift-receipt request, appear in a callout above the warehouse pick list, so the right note goes in the right box.
Good to know
- Gift mode is captured once per bundle, not per item.
- It works alongside everything else: per-item personalisation, choice slots and the quantity grid.
